Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
“A Very Vader Christmas” —Mo, 2023
Part of what I love about keeping this blog is having a record of what we’ve accomplished. For example, my first thought about how this past year went, my first reaction would be “it’s alright, same ol’ same ol’, nothing new to report…” But that would be wrong, we’ve grown and changed so much!
It’s been an amazing year at Froggy Creek. Bringing our chickens home and raising them has been such a treat. They’ve added so much joy to our lives (as well as eggs…).

While we didn’t grow quite as much in our garden this year due to weird weather, we still harvested so much produce. We learned a lot and will make changes for this upcoming year, but we are still so proud of what we accomplished. Our garlic harvest was amazing, we had tons of string beans, and, we ended up with at least two year’s worth of tomatillos. We even managed to grow a great crop of peppers, something I never thought I’d be able to say.
We’ll start planning our 2024 garden soon, but for now, we will reflect back on what an amazing 2023 we had. We hope your 2023 was equally as amazing and your coming 2024 is even better.
