2022 Bee Arrival (Video)

In April 2022, we picked up two nucs of bees for our two hives: The Bee Palace and our Flow Hive.

The Bee Palace is a traditional 8 frame Langstroth hive… when you think of beekeepers and apiaries, this is the most typical kind of hive.

The Flow Hive is a modified type of Langstroth hive. While the lower brood box is basically the same as what’s on the Bee Palace, the upper box is modified to allow people to harvest honey directly from the hive.
